Minnesota Tours: Lakes, Rivers & Wetlands

Minnesota has a LOT of water: when you factor in all the shoreline on our thousands of lakes and rivers (including world-class water bodies like Lake Superior and the Mississippi River), we have more coastline than California, Hawaii, and Florida COMBINED. All that water certainly draws a lot of birds and other wildlife. Most of the American duck and goose species are found here, as are giants like pelicans, and cranes. More Bald Eagles and Trumpeter Swans than any other state in the lower 48, plus small shorebirds to large waders, we've got 'em all. Turtles of all kinds, mink, otters, beavers, and even moose can also be found here.
